I have been a commercial real estate appraiser for more than 30 years and always make every effort to serve my clients with honesty and integrity.

Susan R. Balogh, MAI, AI-GRS

Susan R. Balogh, MAI, AI-GRS has been engaged in the real estate appraisal, mortgage underwriting and analysis of real estate since 1983.  She began her career in Atlanta Georgia appraising commercial properties throughout the Southeast.  In 1989 she moved to the Boston area and has since appraised properties throughout New England and the United States.  She has owned and managed Acadia Advisors since 1997.  National, multi-service firms with whom she was previously employed include:   Cushman & Wakefield in Atlanta and Boston, Laventhol & Horwath, former Big Eight accounting and consulting firm, Hilco Real Estate Appraisal and American Appraisal Company.

 

Ms. Balogh holds two Appraisal Institute Designations; 1) the MAI (commercial real estate appraisal) designation; and 2) the AI-GRS designation awarded for her expertise in reviewing commercial real estate appraisals.  The Appraisal Institute is the acknowledged worldwide leader in commercial and residential appraisal education, research, publishing and professional membership designation programs.  Ms. Balogh also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University where she graduated Summa cum Laude.  She has held a variety of Appraisal Institute leadership positions and is actively involved in litigation support through court testimony as an expert witness.  Ms. Balogh is licensed in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Colin Balogh, Ph.D., Retired

Colin Balogh holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University.  At the college level he has taught courses in Corporate Finance, Real Estate Investment Analysis, Mortgages and Mortgage Market, Managerial Finance, International Finance and Capital Planning at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

 

Colin has been with Acadia Advisors since 1997 while he also taught at the university level.  Prior to his academic career, Colin was a commercial real estate broker in California.  In addition, he is a published author of many real estate articles in academic and trade journals.  His appraisal experience includes valuation of residential, commercial and industrial real estate.  He has also performed feasibility studies, market analyses, regional and economic analyses and database design and implementation.  Colin qualified as an expert witness in the State of California.
